ATMIST offers adapted equipment, training and operational medical support to organizations that work in high-risk areas in order to be able to operate safely away from hospitals and care facilities.
Within ATMIST there is extensive experience of life-saving activities in vulnerable and crisis situations. We use the concept of Tactical Healthcare or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) which are evidence-based guidelines for how to care for the injured in extreme environments where there is lack of infrastructure or healthcare expertise.
The basis of the method is experiences and studies from the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. The methods are also very suitable for civilian crisis situations.
